HTC S740

The European department of the Taiwan Corporation HTC announced new smartphone HTC S740, the follower of Vox model. The novelty is created is the form factor of a monoblock and is equipped with two QWERTY keypads placed in the front and back parts of the corpus. Some smartphone design elements are borrowed from Touch Diamond model.

HTC S740 functions with mobile nets WCDMA and HSDPA standard in 900 and 2100 MH and with four GSM diapasons (850/900/1800/1900 MH) and GPRS and EDGE protocols. The data transfer speed for HSDPA is 384 Kbit/sec, mobile connection is 3,6 or 7.2 Mbit/sec. The smartphone is based on the central processor Qualcomm MSM7225 with 528 MH, is equipped with 256 MB Flash-memory and 256 Mb operational memory and microSD slot.

The novelty is equipped with 2,4 inches digital display with QVGA resolution, 3.2 mega pixel photo camera with fixed focus, FM radio receiver, wireless Wi-Fi controller 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 supporting EDR, aGPS receiver and firm connector ExtUSB connecting interface mini USB and sound input.

According to the producer the battery of 1000 mAc should be enough for 320 and 380 minutes as talk time for WCDMA and GSM nets accordingly and up to 400 and 280 hours accordingly in stand by regime. The device HTC S740 dimensions are 116,3x43,4x16,3 mm and the weight is 140 grams.
