Samsung Fascinate Review

By now you would not think there was much in the Galaxy Samsung S family, the surprise could still leave us. After the success of the original European model, starts at AT&T and T-Mobile, the AMOLED Super Android smartphone now followed by Verizon in the form of the Samsung fascinating. Verizon CDMA and other tweaks are enough to convince us that this is the Galaxy S is to adopt siblings? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

The core specifications of the Galaxy S are fairly well known. Front is a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen, while a 5-megapixel camera on the back (on the fascinating, is paired with an LED flash). Inside is Samsung’s 1GHz processor with Hummingbird Android 2.1 Eclair with the TouchWiz UI 3.0 (also subject to amendments Verizon), there are also Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, EVDO Rev.A and 2GB internal memory.

Design-wise is similar to the Fever T-Mobile S Galaxy, with touch-sensitive menu at home, and looking back buttons on the front panel volume rocker on the left side and an annoyingly-placed power button on the right. On top is the micro-USB connector – covered with a sliding door – and 3.5-mm headphone jack. The plastic rear panel to reveal clips from a 1,500-mAh battery, while the whole thing is a bit thicker to the flash (a compromise, we are happy with) to accommodate.

We are fans of the whole galaxy S series, but the fascinating Verizon could also be so far our favorite. The carrier has apparently worked up with Samsung to change the core operating system, and there are several points at which the edges of the fascinating advance. The three home screen icons can now be changed, for example, while on the AT&T Captivate are locked, and we did not observe any of the questions that we had experienced on other GPS options. That’s not to say Samsung has no room for improvement. The e-app, only one Exchange account at a time when Samsung’s TouchWiz widgets too much screen space, and we still have some of the observed periodic articles which contain the general ease in March
